Second Research Report (November 2005)

This second report, submitted to AIBMR Life Sciences in November 2005 by the same Thai university research team, extended the observation period for VigRX to 12 weeks (84 days) to evaluate the durability and long-term safety of the effects first identified in the initial 14-day study. It is a critical companion to the first report, providing the sustained-use data needed to support VigRX's use as a daily sexual wellness supplement.

Study Design

Adult male Sprague-Dawley rats (n=12 per group) received VigRX orally at 15 mg/kg/day or distilled water as a control for 84 consecutive days. Sexual behavior was assessed on Days 28, 56, and 84. On Day 85, erect penile size, intracavernous pressure (ICP), sperm concentration, serum testosterone, full blood chemistry, and organ weights were measured. Liver, kidney, and testes were examined histopathologically.

Key Findings — Sustained Efficacy

Across 12 weeks of daily administration, VigRX continued to demonstrate meaningful support for male sexual health. Intracavernous pressure remained significantly elevated in treated rats (85.75 mmHg) compared to controls (58.08 mmHg) — a 48% improvement sustained throughout the full study period (p<0.05). Sperm concentration was significantly higher in VigRX-treated rats (24.57 ×10⁶/mL vs. 20.41 ×10⁶/mL, p<0.05). A statistically significant reduction in ejaculation latency was also maintained over the course of the study.

Testosterone — Long-Term Effect

In a key distinction from the 14-day study, the 12-week trial revealed a statistically significant increase in serum testosterone levels in VigRX-treated rats — 6.20 ng/mL vs. 3.66 ng/mL in controls (p<0.05), representing a nearly 70% elevation. This finding confirms that testosterone-modulating effects of VigRX's herbal constituents may require sustained supplementation to manifest, underscoring the importance of consistent, long-term use.

Safety Profile — Long-Term

No significant histopathological changes were observed in the liver, kidney, or testes in either the treatment or control groups at 12 weeks. The minor liver and kidney weight differences seen in the earlier 14-day study were not replicated here. Full blood chemistry — including glucose, BUN, creatinine, cholesterol, triglycerides, liver enzymes (ALT, AST), total protein, albumin, and complete blood count — showed no clinically meaningful differences between treated and control animals.

Conclusion

The long-term study confirms that VigRX's sexual wellness benefits are durable and reproducible over extended daily use. The emergence of a significant testosterone effect at 12 weeks — not seen at 14 days — highlights VigRX as a supplement that rewards consistent use. Combined with a clean long-term safety profile, this study strongly supports VigRX as a reliable daily sexual wellness formula.
